Horsey Things...

Each year near here, Richland Horse park holds a three day event...dressage, stadium jumping, and cross country...it's a horse persons place to be...though it really makes a person want to be in the saddle...there is a 'keyhole' jump for the more advanced riders...timing is everything...

  1. Great picture. You know, I am so scared of horses. Got bit with one when I was a kid.

  2. I'm scared of cows...they look right through you and don't seem to notice you are there...

  3. Hmm. That looks like a rather small keyhole jump. I feel like I would be knocked from the saddle if I tried that with my 18.1-hand moose!

I'm so jealous. We don't have any eventing venues nearby (which also makes it so hard for me to get into combined training). I was able to go to watch the Kentucky Rolex two or three years back in high school. That was sooo awesome! I got to do course walks with David & Karen O'Conner, and the next year, one with Darren Chicchia. I've also been to the cross-country day of the North American Young Rider Championships once, which was pretty inspiring as well.
