Birds...

Hubs and I took a motorcycle ride to the local bird sanctuary recently...it was a bit weird that the birds had not congregated yet...must be because the weather has been unseasonably warm and their food is still plentiful...but we had a nice walk and fed those that were around...more swans than geese...

I took this to a club meeting the other day to see what could have made it better...It is a tiger lily silhouetted against the sky...someone thought it looked like a spider of some sort...what do you think it looks like?

Sunset (another)...

Hubs likes to go to Lake Michigan in the evenings and have a tailgate picnic to watch people and the sunset...

I have noticed so many sizes and types of hibiscus this year...this one was at a Lake Michigan beach and it was huge...

Regalia...

We attended a PowWow last Labor Day weekend...the regalia was wonderful...I received a first place in competition for this photo...

Fungi...

I have lots of photos of fungi and thought about making a photo book...these are spiky ones and did not last very long...

Horses...

One of the equestrian events to qualify for the Olympics takes place in our area.  We have attended it a few times and it is fun to watch the different levels of riding.  Did you get to watch any of the equestrian events in this year's Olympics?

Have you noticed that we are getting some wonderful sunsets?

Bull...

 My son-in-law loves his cows and bulls...they are belted callaways and really quite nice friendly folk...I do not remember if this is the bull or a cow.  The Bull has a ring in it's nose.  There are some that do not like to be petted and scratched...but most like him as much as he likes them...

Lighthouse...

Last summer, we spent some time in Mackinac City just south of the Mackinaw Bridge into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  It's a beautiful area with much history.  This was taken in the park just east of the bridge.  The lighthouse is not operating, but it does look nice with the crescent moon...
