Storm clean up...

We had a doozy of a storm earlier this summer...lots of trees down, etc...clean up is continuing, and this hollow tree caught my attention...it's big...and really hollow... 

Hooray...August 22...

 In 1970, the fireworks were for Hubby and I as we began our life together...Happy Anniversary to us...It's been a long time, but seems like just yesterday...boy does time fly...enjoy your days folks...they go by rapidly...

Tonight...

I went out on the lake tonight...knew there was to be a full moon and with the pink sunset, I thought it'd be a great moon...however, I was out there a while and took a bunch of photos...the camera battery died just about the time the moon came up...I missed it again...anyway, I did get this one... how pitiful...see that miniature moon what out there???

Bald Eagle...

Of course, this guy is a flightless example of this wonderful bird, but he didn't look too unhappy... 

Winking...

This guy kept winking at me, but do you think I could get one of those winks in the camera???   NNNOOO... 

Birds...

We were at the Bird Sanctuary recently...got some good photos...missed some good photos... 

Bonfires...

It was Band Weekend at the lake...last year they played a bit too long into the night, therefore, this year they shut down at 10pm and started acoustical around the bonfire...what a great day... 

Flowers...

I received a beautiful bouquet...it's lasting wonderfully long and has the most colorful blooms... 

Memorial Service...

We finally got everyone together for the Memorial Service for Pa...The VFW arrived with their guns and salute...we put together a photo board and tribute...I'm not much for organizing, but it was a great evening at the lake...the weather cooperated, the people were friendly and shared stories...now I start mourning all over again...   

Hibiscus...

Each spring, a friend of mine buys a hibicus tree for her deck...in the fall, she lets it die...last year, I asked if I could have it before the frost killed it...it came back this year beautifully after spending the winter in my basement...
