Moonrise...

This is different for me... 

Backlight...

This one I also entered in the competition...I like it...well, that's silly, of course I like it... 

Food...

I entered this photo into a competition...I think it's nice...the competition is really stiff...we'll see... 

More Rain...

Then more rain came...and more rain...we decided to head home and put the rain behind us...

     

The trucks were lined up when we stopped at the rest area for a little nap...

We stopped by Niagara Falls area about 3 am...no one around...and too dark for pictures...sorry...

Cemeteries...

We enjoy strolling through old cemeteries...this one was established in 1798 (if I remember correctly)...this stone was for a wife/mother and two children all dead in two days and buried in the same plot...the father had made notation on the stone about his loss...so sad... 

Lost his mind...

We spoke with this cyclist at the top of a mountain pass...he said he thought he had lost his mind...we worked so hard to get to the top...

Then he let loose down the road...If you look close, you can see him in the next photos...Wow, was he moving...

Covered Bridges...

  We were looking for   covered bridges...we found a four an drove through a three...we were told that one had been damaged in floods...

Basin...

One one of our motorcycle rides, we stopped at the 'Basin'...it was a waterfall among the rocks...the water was cold and the sun shone through the fog rising from the water... further down the rocks, the water swirled and cascaded... then ended in a basin at the bottom...     

Lake Champlain Area...

We spent one night on the shores of Lake Champlain...the view was wonderful...however, the mayflies were definitely all over everything...     

Fun...

I went out with the camera that evening and had a good time just taking pictures of bunches of things... 

Picnic...

 We stopped to have a picnic lunch and were joined by the ants...

Rain...

We were enjoying a motorcycle ride when the rain started...we got back to the motel before the downpour, but what a downpour it was...it brought down pine needles and left them in puddles in the walkway...These are two pictures of those puddles and pine needles...

then the moon came out...I tried, but without a tripod, it's a bit fuzzy...

Clift face...

Looking up was impressive...it's not easy to tell that this was straight up...It might be slate...

Huh?

  Hubby was showing off...This is also at Smuggler's Notch...

Me...

There are very few pictures of me out there, so I put the camera in Hubby's hands...
This is at Smuggler's Notch near Stowe, Vermont...the road is extremely narrow and windy...we were on the motorcycles and I almost become a hood ornament...luckily traffic was moving very slowly... 

Stops...

We like to stop at scenic places and wander... 

Mountains...

We spent most of our time on the mountain roads...curvy and fun...some in the truck and some on the motorcycles...

Exploring...

The explorers are on the move...
