First Night...

We spent the first night at Bath, New York...not much happening...we were on the 4th floor with a very slow elevator or stairs...used the stairs alot and swam in the pool...nice evening... 

Signs...

Stopped at a rest area on the highway...which way shall we go??? 

Trips...

Hubs and I went for a trip...we went through New York state into Vermont, New Hampshire  and a little bit of Maine...We have never been east before and never to the New England area...Hoping to amuse you for a bit, I'll be putting up some pictures from that trip...As usual when we travel, we had 3 GPS's, 3 tour books, an road atlas and some travel brochures...we're ready...let's go...

Spiders...

Any arachnophopes out there???  This little guy (or girl) was at the checkout of the greenhouse...he did not stay around long... 

Spring Flowers...Bridal Veil...

This is another old standby...Bridal Veil...it's been around for as long as I can remember...it's a shrub that gets full of these blooms and the branches droop from the load of blooms... though I wonder if I've gotten some mixed up as these look alot like some type of berry bloom...hhhmmm???

Spring Flowers...Blue...

  Found this in the yard among some vines...any ideas??

Spring Flowers...Tulips...

I'm sure you all know the plain old tulip... 

Spring Flowers...Columbine (2)...

This is the columbine growing in my flower bed...they have been around for many years...I think they will spread ... 

Spring Flowers...Columbine...

This is a columbine that was blooming in the greenhouse...it's different than the ones out in my flower beds...they are all sold now, so I'll not plant it this year...will find you a picture of the old fashioned columbine...

Storm...

Been off line for a couple days...storm blew through and left bunches of trees down...big old trees...feel sorry for the trees, but glad they did not do much damage to buildings...     
Now clean up is continuing...
and assessment of damage...
been waiting for the tree guys to show up...

Spring Flowers...Blue Bells...

There is one blue bell plant in my Grandmother's flower bed...it blooms these each spring...and then  the plant is lost until the next spring...  

Spring Flowers... Violet...

  These wild violets come up each spring in many places all over the yard...they come in this color as well as all purple and all white...they are not very large...

Catalpa Trees in June...

The catalpa trees in our area bloom in June...they are older than I and are fast growing and tall...the blooms don't last long and they fall rapidly...         

The blooms grow in bunches and sometimes the whole bunch will fall at the same time...

Spring Flowers...Mock Orange...

The mock orange will bloom soon...I'll get you an update then...the shrub will be full of pretty white blooms that smell like orange blossoms... 

Smooch...

 Smooch is an attack cat...she hides among the plants waiting...this time she hid among the corn plants...

 It was funny to see just her hiney or just her head...

 

Spring Flowers...Tulip Trees...

The tulip trees are blooming...we don't usually see the blooms as they are so often way up in the tree...however, this year the tree cooperated and let a few be near the ground for us land folks... 

Spring Flowers...Peony...

The peony will be blooming soon...I'm told to leave the ants on the buds for some reason...anyone know what that reason is?
