Moon over Texas...

Doing some traveling...thought of Linda in NM when I took this almost full moon over Texas...

Had a wonderful lunch with Linda and Joe this afternoon before heading further west ... was great fun to meet someone only known over the 'net...  

Cormorant...

I believe this is a cormarant...I've never seen one in this area before, but this guy was fishing in Lake Michigan near Pentwater...

Haze...

Black and White or Color...

 We watched a sunset at Lake Michigan the other day...I was playing with B&W...I think for this photo, color is better...

 

Grapes...

 The grapes are ripening...in some areas, they will be picking for wine...

Angled sunshine...

I believe some folks call this God's light...it sure does make a dramatic sky... 

Early Morning...

Early morning at the cemetary visiting Mom and the Grandparents...

While working at the greenhouse this spring, I took a liking to this rose and planted it in my Grandmothers rose bed...it was time she had some new plants... 

Black Eyed Susans...

The black-eyed susans are nice this year...

We stopped at the VA Cemetary to visit Hubs parents...the flags were nice that day...

The sunrise was beautiful over the lake... 

Fall Ferns...

 Hubs and I and a friend of ours went walking near Pentwater this morning...it was a beautiful morning and the fall ferns were touched by the morning light...

More Climbing Vines...

These vines are climbing an old door... 

Mint..

This used to be a horse pasture...since he has gone, the mint has spread...it is very pungent when you walk thru it and the aroma sticks to your  clothing...

Tree Down...

Walking thru the woods the other day with the camera...this huge pine had fallen during the storm in June...it's twin tops had just toppled off the main trunk... 

Climbing Vines...

These vines are climbing the side of a garage...

 Was playing with the camera and the moon the other evening...this looks like a Jack-O-Lantern...

Happy Birthday...

This young man turns 41 today...Happy Birthday Son...where ever you are...  :-( ... this part of your family is not lost...just on hold...

Grasshopper...

It's that time of year...the grasshoppers are enjoying the plants... 

Storm clean up...

We had a doozy of a storm earlier this summer...lots of trees down, etc...clean up is continuing, and this hollow tree caught my attention...it's big...and really hollow... 

Hooray...August 22...

 In 1970, the fireworks were for Hubby and I as we began our life together...Happy Anniversary to us...It's been a long time, but seems like just yesterday...boy does time fly...enjoy your days folks...they go by rapidly...

Tonight...

I went out on the lake tonight...knew there was to be a full moon and with the pink sunset, I thought it'd be a great moon...however, I was out there a while and took a bunch of photos...the camera battery died just about the time the moon came up...I missed it again...anyway, I did get this one... how pitiful...see that miniature moon what out there???

Bald Eagle...

Of course, this guy is a flightless example of this wonderful bird, but he didn't look too unhappy...
