Happy May Day...

It's May!!! and I have three new kittens living under my car...hhmmm...now how do I move the car???

Morels are out...

Early spring in Michigan when we get wet warm nights, the morels will pop up...










And then the ferns begin to unfurl...

Spring at the Lake...

During the winter at the lake, things are always breaking loose from their moorings...You can always find a raft or boat floating somewhere it's not suppose to be...

World on a Leaf...

Drops of rain water are so adapt at staying put...almost like their own world...

At work, I stopped out behind the building and leaned again the warm brick...today is one of those days when the air is cold, but the sun is so warm that you can sunbath if you can find a location out of the wind...

Hubs and I did a drawing this evening... I got names from the posts... made pieces of paper with each name...







Put the pieces of paper in the ice cream maker... Hubs drew a name...

Magnolia Tree...

There's a maple behind the Magnolia Tree...but you can see enough to appreciate the beauty of this tree...lots and lots and lots of blooms this year...

The greenhouse is full of new plants...still planting...moving some outside...shipping and selling...

At the Beach...

Hubs, the dogs and I went to the beach
...windy and cold...no one there but us...
really nice...except Hubs had a hard time
toughing it out...even the sea birds were
just sitting on the beach with their beaks into the wind...

On this daffodil sat this little guy...at least I assume it's a 'guy' ...might be a 'gal' ... but I believe they are good friends...

The new maple leaves are coming out...they still are a bit crinkly, but that won't last long...

Walked to the chickens yesterday... as I turned the corner ahead of me was this...he was so proud of himself...he kept strutting...

LesMiserables...

Went to a high school production of LesMiserables...they did a wonderful performance...don't know why, but I really like that play...so many miserable people...so much pain...

Horsey Things...

Each year near here, Richland Horse park holds a three day event...dressage, stadium jumping, and cross country...it's a horse persons place to be...though it really makes a person want to be in the saddle...there is a 'keyhole' jump for the more advanced riders...timing is everything...

We were at the drags one night...I was in the right place for this photo...but a very uncomfortable place for safety...

Was reading the Prevention magazine this evening...there was an article (which I have not read yet) concerning Over 50 make up tips ( meaning 50 years of age) ...Hubs was so nice... He said the best tip was "turn off the light" ...

Angry Pussycat...

Olive climbed the tree to get away from Sagwa...however, Olive also felt she needed to tell Sagwa to get lost...She was very adamant about it...

The pussy willow trees are flowering...the maple trees have their red buds on...

Walking in the Spring...

Was outside most of the day today...except when napping...the animals are out...swans...chipmunks...Pa...the plants are out...daffadils...crocus...jonquils...little purple flowers...
